Wireless Rope

The Wireless Rope is a framework to experience and study the ubiquitous Bluetooth signals of the environment. Surrounding peoples' phones and places' computers can be detected, traced, and interacted with using the Wireless Rope mobile phone program.

This project is funded by the Wearable Computing Lab at the TZI, University of Bremen and the University of Cambridge (Haggle: European Union project in Situated and Autonomic Communications).

Wireless Rope on Facebook

Simon Jones and Vassilis Kostakos from the University of Bath integrated the Wireless Rope with Facebook as part of the Cityware project. With this extension, you can view the profiles of people you met during the day on your Facebook profile. Just add the Cityware app to your profile page.
